Why “DISEIN”?
Conceived. Tested. Refined. Until it's right.
I did my Bachelor’s in Industrial Design and my Master’s in Systemic Design at HTW Berlin, and I have been doing branding since 2018. Along the way I picked up a few awards, including the iF Design Student Award, the UX Design Award and the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Award. I like developing ideas that stand out a little or ruffle some feathers. Trying out materials, starting over, until it fits.
The name started with a drawing.
When I told my younger brother August that I was studying design, he immediately wanted to build things himself. He wanted to understand how everything works. A few days later he pressed a drawing of a spaceship into my hand.
At the top of the paper it said: "disein".
Not quite spelled right. But honestly meant.
The name stuck.
